Florida’s Emerald Coast is known for its white-sand beaches, emerald waters, and laid-back coastal lifestyle, but one of the best parts of living here is the strong faith community. Whether you’re a new resident, a snowbird escaping the winter, or just visiting on vacation, finding a good church can make your time here even more meaningful.
Having moved here after college I began researching and trying out several churches, I’ve had the privilege of experiencing a range of non-denominational congregations across the Emerald Coast. Some of these churches, like Destiny Worship Center, I’ve been a part of for a while. Others I’ve visited or heard about from friends and fellow churchgoers. What’s great about this area is the welcoming atmosphere of each church, making it easy to find a place where you can worship, grow spiritually, and connect with others.
In this post, I’ll share with you a list of non-denominational churches I feel confident recommending based on my own personal experiences or what I’ve learned through conversations with people in the community. Whether you’re looking for a place to call your church home or simply want to find a welcoming spot for your time on the Emerald Coast, these churches offer something for everyone.
Destiny Worship Center (Navarre, Destin, Freeport, Panama City Beach, Crestview – and coming soon to Pensacola!)

💒 My home church! Destiny Worship Center has been an important part of my faith journey since I moved here. I originally started attending their Destin campus, then the Fort Walton Beach location, and now I go to Navarre since it recently opened and it’s awesome!
Exciting news for Pensacola residents—Destiny Worship Center recently purchased a shopping center (where Books-A-Million and Hobby Lobby are), and they’ll be opening a Pensacola campus in the future! I’ll likely transition to that location once it opens.
Why Destiny is great for locals & visitors:
✅ Multiple locations across the Emerald Coast
✅ Dynamic worship and relevant, biblical messages
✅ Strong kids and youth programs
✅ Welcoming to snowbirds and vacationers
✅ Small groups for deeper connection (like the Faith-Driven Entrepreneurs group I’m involved with! There are many other options available as well!)

Final Thoughts
No matter how long you’re on the Emerald Coast, whether you’re a local, a snowbird, or just here for a week at the beach—there are plenty of great non-denominational churches where you can grow in your faith and connect with others. What’s truly amazing is how, as this area continues to grow, more and more churches are becoming available to meet the needs of the community. It’s truly encouraging to see how this region, with its beautiful coastline, is also becoming a place where faith is flourishing.
As the population grows, so does the number of church options, which is such a blessing for everyone living here. Whether you prefer a beachside worship experience, a tight-knit small group, or a larger, dynamic church community, the Emerald Coast has something for everyone. It’s great to see that even as the area attracts more visitors and residents, the heart of this community remains deeply God-fearing and welcoming. There’s a strong sense of faith that permeates through the people here, and it’s reflected in the incredible churches and ministries that continue to emerge.
From Pensacola Beach to Navarre, Destin, Fort Walton Beach, and Panama City Beach, each church offers a unique way to connect, grow spiritually, and contribute to the community. The abundance of options makes it clear that this is an area where God’s love is at the forefront, and there is always a place for anyone to plug in and be a part of something bigger.
I encourage you to visit one of these amazing churches on the Emerald Coast, get involved, and experience for yourself how faith is alive and thriving in this beautiful part of Florida. Whether you’re here temporarily or making this area your forever home, you’ll find a community that’s eager to welcome you with open arms.
